Dina’s professional writing career began in 1986, with her first national magazine job in Santa Monica, California. Her history in the publishing world includes freelance travel and essay writing for national magazines and newspapers, production and associate editor for several magazines and book publishing companies, and a five-year stint as the owner of her own small publishing company, Authentic Publishing.
Her personal study included short story writing at Beyond Baroque in Venice, screenwriting at San Francisco State University and with John Truby in Los Angeles, and novel writing at UC San Diego. In 1998 she received her masters degree in Biography/Autobiography from Vermont's Goddard College.

Prior to Dina’s graduate study research, she came upon her grandfather Wolff's manuscript,
The Man From Highbelow (see
www.highbelow.com). Fascinated with his story of awakening as an artist, and the way that through discovering his life she better understood and accepted her own artistic nature, Dina decided to dedicate her life to facilitating the writing of memoir. Since then, she has helped dozens of writers discover what story it is they want to tell, facilitated the creation of a detailed “map” for the book, acted as their chapter-by-chapter editor, and designed and published their books.
Dina’s services include: coaching, editing, book design, and consulting. She works on a sliding scale in person, via mail, email, and/or telephone.
For me, there is no more meaningful work than facilitating another's discovery of their truth. Though the work is always challenging, the rewards are also always worth it.

"Dina dear, I was so delighted to receive your telephone call. I must wait to send you pages,
however, because I hear your voice—if not see your colored ink—making changes. Deletions
are your most important editing tool. I am so grateful I have interiorized your voice with
which I usually agree."
